The medical costs of treating AFib/AF is expensive compared to those that do not have the heart condition. Treatment includes medication, surgery, and healthy lifestyle changes.

The Center for Disease Control provides the Atrial Fibrillation Fact Sheet with information on symptoms, factors, costs and consequences, and treatment.

Another resource is stopafib.org provides information and answers to AFib patients’ questions.
